Helping You Navigate the Midlife Transition & Beyond
When you Need More Than Just a Coach
Founder and Primary Provider, Therapy for Midlife
As a lifelong competitive athlete and someone deeply interested in maximizing well-being, I became a psychologist because of my passion for the intersection between mental and physical health. I am dedicated to helping people find purpose, deep connection and fulfillment in their lives.
Throughout my 20-year career in mental health, I have taken a dual approach. Positive Psychology is the focus on optimal functioning and strengths rather than perceived deficits. A Biopsychosocial approach means that our biology, psychological well-being and social environments are interconnected. This global health perspective allows for a comprehensive exploration of the individual or couple creating deep and lasting insights and change.
For several years, I’ve had the rewarding experience of running my own private practice treating adult individuals and couples with various mental health concerns. During this time, I began to hear common themes of people facing similar struggles. The more I listened, the more I realized how many individuals and couples are navigating the emotional and physical challenges of midlife without adequate support or guidance.
This realization as well as experiencing my own midlife challenges, motivated me to create Therapy for Midlife to address this significant gap in mental health care, offering support that considers all aspects of well-being and the unique stresses in this stage of life.
